La Grange Main Street hosted a Christmas ornament decorating contest to coincide with the Schmeckenfest festivities, the annual wassail tasting and Christmas celebration held on the Square on Thursday, Dec. 3.

More than seventy struggling families will get a chance to have a better Thanksgiving this year, thanks to some generous work by the staff of St. Mark’s ospital. This marks the 15th year for the Thanksgiving Basket Project at St. Mark’s.

The Fayette County Extension Education (EE) Council met on Nov. 17 at the E.H. Kitchen located on the Fayette County Fairgrounds. President Vivian Krenek called the meeting to order and the pledges to the flags and EE prayer were said in unison.
