AUSTIN — The Texas House of Representatives on May 4 approved Senate Joint Resolution 2, a measure calling for a convention of the states, as contemplated and enabled by Article V of the U.S. Constitution.

Thirteen beautiful quilt boards were designed and painted at the Quilt Board Block painting class held at Zilss Hall last Sunday. Individuals from La Grange, Round Top and Warda joined with their neighbors in Winchester to develop and paint boards.

Going to the doctor is never a joyous occasion. Rarely are you going in for good news (with the exception of pregnancy,) so when I found myself needing to go the doctor again last week, I was not a happy camper.

Have you ever seen a petrified dinosaur egg? Look what I found (pictured below) on the water’s edge, in our creek. It appears to be a very large stream tumbled egg-shaped rock.
