Update 8:45 p.m.: Fayette County Judge Joe Weber reported Thursday evening that the county now has 10 confirmed cases of coronavirus. The fifth confirmed positive test came from the La Grange McDonald's employee reported earlier today, April 2.

Fayette County now has a second confirmed case of coronavirus. County Emergency Management Chief Craig Moreau reported Saturday evening, March 28, that a woman in Fayette County tested positive for the virus.

Thursday afternoon around 1:14 pm the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a structure fire on Anchor Ranch Loop in the Cistern area. The Muldoon Fire Department was notified and responded to the scene along with Deputy Terry Guentert. Upon arrival a barn was fully engulfed and the Muldoon Fire Department requested assistance from the Flatonia Fire Department who also responded. The fire was extinguished and two tractors, a zero degree lawnmower, and a pickup truck were also destroyed in the fire. The cause of the fire was from fuel that ignited while filling a lawnmower. Fayette County still only has one confirmed case of coronavirus as of Thursday, March 25. That person remains in isolation. Fayette County Emergency Management Chief Craig Moreau said many more have tested negative for the virus, although he declined to say how many people have taken the test.
