The Fayetteville High School boys golf team finished fifth at the regional golf tournament in Manor this week. Their combined score was a 842. Damon Gerik qualified for state as a medalist. He shot a 95 in the first round and a 88 in the second round for a total of 183.

The La Grange baseball team started Tuesday night in second-to-last place in District 21-4A. A couple of hours later, after knocking off Smithville 4-1, the Leps found themselves back in a four-way tie for second place. What a wacky season it’s been in this district.

After two days of play at the District 21-4A golf tournament this week, the La Grange boys team emerged as the runner-up, so all five team members advance to regionals.

Last week the La Grange tennis teams played their final tournament before district. On March 23 the JV competed and on March 24 the varsity competed, both in Taylor. Here are the results: In varsity, Mixed Doubles - Kole Parchman/Alyssa Wich won first place.

With academic meets and the livestock show going on this weekend, there has been a change in the normal day and time for the La Grange baseball and softball home district games against Bellville.
