Fayette County now has a second confirmed case of coronavirus. County Emergency Management Chief Craig Moreau reported Saturday evening, March 28, that a woman in Fayette County tested positive for the virus.

Fayette County still only has one confirmed case of coronavirus as of Thursday, March 25. That person remains in isolation. Fayette County Emergency Management Chief Craig Moreau said many more have tested negative for the virus, although he declined to say how many people have taken the test.

The Fayette County Junior Livestock Show was quickly moved up to Thursday and Friday this week, March 19-20, in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak. The event was originally scheduled for next weekend, March 26-28.
