An 18-wheeler rolled over on US 77 about halfway up the Bluff Friday morning, Sept. 7.
The wreck happened shortly before 9 a.m. The rig is blocking the southbound lane of traffic.
Motorists should expect delays for the next few hours.

La Grange Animal Control Officer Dean Ray Ahlschlager rescued nine puppies along the Colorado River near the SH 71 bypass on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 4. Ahlschlager said he believes someone dumped the puppies, since he could not locate a mother.

Care Inn of La Grange held a community breakfast Tuesday morning, Aug. 28, on the one year anniversary of the nursing home’s evacuation during Hurricane Harvey. A year ago, the folks snacking on donuts and breakfast tacos would have been knee-deep in water.

A new business in Fayette County is catering to folks with a discerning taste for strong drink.
Troy and Michelle Kooper of Kooper Family Rye Whiskey moved their operation from Dripping Springs to Ledbetter earlier this year. They plan to open a tasting room on Sept. 8.

The La Grange Leopards put up a good showing in the football scrimmage against El Campo Friday night.
Other than a handful of El Campo running plays that broke past defenders, the Ricebirds couldn’t get much going against La Grange’s defense.
