AUSTIN — Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton on May 1 filed a lawsuit against the federal government to end the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program.
The attorneys general of Alabama, Arkansas, Louisiana, Nebraska, South Carolina and West Virginia joined Paxton in the lawsuit.

Generally, I am a morning person. Apparently, I have been that way since birth. My mom told me that she NEVER got to sleep past 6 a.m. after I was born. I was up like clockwork. It didn’t seem to matter what time they put me to bed, I was up by 6 a.m.

AUSTIN — Gov. Greg Abbott and Attorney General Ken Paxton on April 11 sent a joint letter to eight state criminal justice agencies and associations, urging them to review their processes for reporting criminal history to the National Instant Criminal Background Check System, or “NICS.”
