School is out for the summer and you know what that means – summer activities; summer camp, swimming, boating, canoeing, water skiing, lazy days at the beach and surfing. But how many people in this area own a surfboard or have tried surfing?

Lately every time I click on the TV, I see beautiful girls and handsome men running up and down the beach, scantily clad, and looking like movie stars. With toothy grins they declare that becoming thin and beautiful is now easy and fun.

Around 1956, I was attending La Grange High School and one of the required subjects we had to take was chemistry. Already knowing that I would pursue the house moving business with my dad, I didn’t think chemistry could help me that much; but since it was a required subject I studied it.

Getting a new pet brings many challenges. The two most challenging ones (at least for me) are introducing him/her to your existing pets and picking a name.
