March 15-19, 1968 An Austin couple dropped by the sheriff’s office on Saturday afternoon to report they saw two young men tearing down the Kirtley sign at the edge of that village. Sheriff T. J. Flournoy radioed Columbus police to be on the lookout for the vehicle they described.

Randy Stork celebrated his sixtieth birthday in style with a beautiful celebration held at the Muldoon Mercantile with family, friends and neighbors. The Mercantile was beautifully decorated with antler sheds and flower arrangements on the tables.
