The folks affected by the historic flooding in La Grange probably have some priorities higher than paying their utility bills. Thankfully, they won’t have to worry about their August bill.

La Grange Seniors release balloons at the Wednesday night homecoming pep rally. The Leopards play Navarro Friday night at Lep Stadium. Homecoming activities begin at 7 p.m. The game starts at 7:30 p.m.

The folks running Merriams Midway Show, a carnival based out of Somerset, Texas heard that the carnival scheduled to be at the Fayette County Fair three weeks ago had to be cancelled in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey, and wanted to help.

The La Grange Economic Development Corporation this week donated $35,000 to Fayette County Habitat for Humanity to help purchase building supplies for three new homes to be built in La Grange by Habitat.
The homes will be constructed on land in the Camp St. and Pearl St. areas.
