There was no GOP watch party on election night in Fayette County, but local Republicans had plenty to celebrate. President-elect Donald Trump carried Fayette County with 78.64 percent of the vote and Republicans won every contested election on the ballot locally.

La Grange ISD will host a special Veteran’s Day event Friday Nov. 11 at Hermes Intermediate School. 

A breakfast for Veterans will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:15 a.m. in the Hermes Intermediate library research room (follow the signs).
