La Grange High School Theater Company is presenting their fall production, “Bloody Jack of Whitechapel,” on two dates this weekend – at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 9, and at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11 in the La Grange ISD Auditorium.

Retiring La Grange Police Chief Jackie Skelton was honored with a retirement party Wednesday at the Randolph Recreation Center. Along with a steady-fl ow of well-wishers, Skelton was presented with a trio of gifts.

The new shopping center in front of Walmart in La Grange will soon have two tenants. Hibbett Sports, which sells athletic clothes and equipment opened three weeks ago.
A You Caring account has been set up by two nurses who were employed by Weimar Medical Center, which abruptly closed Nov. 25 leaving more than 50 employees, many who live in Fayette County, unpaid.
