La Grange police were searching Wednesday for a Hispanic male who broke into a local home, tied up the home owner and then stole his vehicle and rammed it into a Prosperity Bank ATM in an apparent attempt to get cash.

TxDOT contractors patched some rough spots on Jefferson Street (US 77) in La Grange earlier this week. The work was done between Dairy Queen and Travis Street, especially in the vicinity around the railroad tracks. It caused some traffic backups in downtown.

Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a La Grange woman on felony drug warrants and ended up taking two others into custody Tuesday morning, March 8.

The Ledbetter Volunteer Fire Department is planning to expand its fire station. Fire Chief Kevin Woefel said the department wants to add three new bays to the west side of the station.

Hundreds of kids and their parents spent Saturday morning at the Fayette Public Library participating in a series of Easter egg hunts. The event was put on by the City of La Grange Recreation Department with help from the La Grange Pilot and Anchor Clubs.
