A woman was arrested Friday morning in La Grange for possession of crystal meth, cocaine and for lying to officers and getting into a struggle with them as they tried to arrest her. It all started about 4:15 a.m.

By ANDY BEHLEN A head-on collision involving an unlicensed driver on SH 71 between Plum and West Point sent one woman to the hospital Monday afternoon, Feb. 15. The accident happened around 3:30 p.m. A white Chevy Silverado pickup was heading east in the inside lane on SH 71.

By ANDY BEHLEN A car fire on Hwy. 159, a grass fire in Mullins Prairie and a tractor rollover on Hwy. 71 kept emergency responders busy on Friday, Feb. 12. The day started with a car that caught fire on Hwy. 159 around 9 a.m. near Dig It Daycare just north of La Grange.

The Food Challenge was held Feb.11 at the San Antonio Livestock Show & Rodeo and Gretchen Kuck of Fayette County 4-H was the Grand Champion winner and scholarship recipient of the food challenge competition with her honey garlic chicken dish.
