It takes a long time to write a vision statement. Just ask the Schulenburg City Council. They tried writing one for three and a half hours at a special workshop meeting Monday night, June 11.

Colorado Valley Telephone Cooperative is putting up four tall communications towers around the area in county road rights-of-way. One resident in Swiss Alp said the tower near his property constitutes a traffic hazard and wants the county to stop the project.

The grand opening of the new VA Clinic in La Grange took place on Thursday, June 7, but it almost didn’t happen. A year earlier, on June 8, 2017, the VA held a town hall meeting in La Grange in which agency officials announced their plans to close the old La Grange Clinic.

The Honor Graduates for the class of 2018 at La Grange High School were announced at graduation ceremonies Thursday night. The Valedictorian is Noah Blackwell. The Salutatorian is Emily Saunders.
