Joe Weber will be the next Fayette County Judge. He won the Republican primary runoff election on Tuesday, May 22. He will not face a Democrat challenger in the November General Election. Weber collected 61.24 percent of the vote.

A collision involving two big rigs west of La Grange shut down the eastbound lanes of SH 71 all afternoon on Tuesday, May 22. The cleanup, which took about five hours, involved cutting one of the 18-wheelers apart and removing the pieces with a crane.
