Clifton August William Becker died May 6, 2017 at his home in La Grange. Clifton was born on Sept. 15, 1934 in Bachelors Hill, Texas to Arthur Leo Becker and Nola Emma Stalbaum. He was a retired master plumber. He served his country in the United States Army.

Addie Pearl Joslin, 93, of Fayetteville, formerly of Magnolia, died May 1, 2017. Addie was born July 3, 1923 in a small community five miles from Rusk, the daughter of Medora Elizabeth and Andrew Jackson Burks. Addie married Leslie Joslin Oct. 14, 1942 in Corsicana.

Gilbert Vrazel was born Oct. 8, 1941 in Rek Hill to Rudolph and Clara Vrazel. He died May 2, 2017 at St. David’s Hospital in Austin surrounded by his loved ones. Visitation for Gilbert Vrazel was held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Fayette Memorial Funeral Home. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m.

Robert Nelles Brown, 87, of La Grange, left on the Glory Train to Heaven on Monday, May 1, 2017 after waging a gallant fight against bladder cancer. Robert was born in Brantford, Ontario, Canada on Aug. 26, 1929, where he lived and went to school in his younger days.

Dorothy (Chovanec) Krenek, 84, of Fayetteville, died May 3, 2017 in Austin. Dorothy was born in Fayetteville on Oct. 19, 1932 to Peter and Stefina (Zapalac) Chovanec. She married Alvin Krenek on Oct. 30, 1951 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Fayetteville.

Bobbie Langreen-Jones, 93, of Houston, died April 25, 2017. Bobbie was born on Sept. 23, 1923 in La Grange to Tom Walter Langreen and Lottie Langreen. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 11 a.m.

Marie Vinklarek, 92, of Cistern, died peacefully April 25, 2017, in the presence of family. Mom was born Aug. 21, 1924, in Jeddo to Albert and Antonia (Kusak) Janecka. After graduating from the Jeddo School, she went to live with her uncle and worked in his country store in Cistern.

Lorene D. Baumbach Klesel, 88, of Rosenberg, died April 17, 2017 at Brazosview Rehabilitation Center. Lorene was born on April 15, 1929 in La Grange to the late Arnold and Minnie (Callsen) Baumbach. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She loved quilting and cross stitching.
