When Eugene Michalsky was born at home on the farm in January 1931, the midwife who assisted his mother received a pint of fresh sweet cream in payment.

Feb. 24-28, 1967 A fast-moving grass and brush fire burned about 500 acres about 10 miles north of La Grange. It also consumed a large, almost new barn containing approximately 2,000 bales of Coastal Bermuda hay on the C.L.
