The La Grange School Board accepted the resignation of Hermes/Intermediate principal Ray Morrow at Monday night’s meeting. In an email sent out to his staff, Morrow cited personal reasons for leaving.

Automated answering systems are great when all you need to do is leave a message for a call back, but when you need to speak to a live human and there is no way to do that without going through a menu of multiple choice buttons, it gets to be a bit much.

It’s flu season. We hear that each year and many of us become complacent. We think: It’s no big deal. Or that we can tough it out. Often we think that it’s not going to happen to me. I’ve never had the flu.
Well, speaking as someone who has had the flu, I can tell you, it’s awful.
