Folks driving west of La Grange on SH 71 at night may have noticed some strange purple lights coming from the old La Grange Dodge Dealership. One observer compared them to something out of a sci-fi movie. It’s not an alien invasion, but it is pretty high tech.

As he left the Walmart parking lot Tuesday, La Grange Policeman Bret Meinardus pulled up behind a suspect’s vehicle and turned on the red and blue lights.
The car quickly pulled over and Meinardus got out and approached the driver’s side window.

An alledgedly drunk driver in a pickup hit two cars and then damaged the Round Top public restroom building on the Round Top square Monday night at 8:32 p.m. according to Fayette County Chief Deputy Randy Noviskie.

Wednesday a community- wide Posada (reenactment of the pilgrimage to Bethlehem by Mary and Joseph) was held in La Grange with a procession that included stops at several local churches.
