Toshiba A. (King) Crayton, formerly of Fayetteville, graduated Cum Laude from South Texas College of Law-Houston on Saturday, Dec. 16. The graduation ceremony was held at Hilton Americas Ballroom Downtown Houston, followed by a reception honoring all graduates and attendees.

On Dec. 11 a regular meeting of the Court Queen of the Holy Rosary No. 2282 was called to order by Regent Dianna Kallus in the Hostyn Dining Hall. The meeting was opened with the CDA prayer and pledges to the American and Texas flags.

Christmas came early for the Fayette Public Library. On Tuesday, Dec. 19, the Fayette County Democratic Party donated 20 Spanish language books to the library.

On Tuesday La Grange HEB donated $1,000 to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Santa Program, which provides gifts for local kids in need at Christmas.

The Ellinger Chamber of Commerce presented a check to the Second Chance Emporium for flood relief from the destruction from Hurricane Harvey. The Chamber, in conjunction with Fayette Savings Bank, donated a total of $1,000.
