One Fatality and Two Injured in Wreck on TX-71

One person was killed and two others were injured in a two-vehicle wreck on TX-71 near Plum this morning, Nov. 17.

The accident happened shortly before 10 a.m. at the intersection of Plum Church Road and TX-71, near the Plum post office.

Fayette Air Center Completes $3 Million in Upgrades

Fayette County Regional Air Center just finished a major upgrade to its facilities. Airport manager Joseph “Skip” Caldwell presented an update on the construction work at the Fayette County Commissioners Court meeting on Monday, Oct. 13.

Wreck Closes Old River Bridge

An 18-wheeler rolled over after hitting the guardrail on the old Hwy. 71 river bridge in La Grange this morning, Nov. 15.

The accident ripped open the truck’s fuel tank, spilling diesel over the roadway.

Unlatched Trailer Falls Off Big Rig in Flatonia After 120-Mile Trip on I-10

A big rig trailer fell off the truck that was pulling it in Flatonia on Wednesday, Nov. 8. According to Flatonia Police Chief Perry Kram, investigators believe the trailer was never latched to the truck.
