The La Grange 8th Grade ‘A’ Girls Basketball Team won the District Championship this season with a District record of 8-1 and an overall record of 13-1.

The Schulenburg boys basketball team used as third quarter surge to power their way to a 54-41 victory over Palacios in the first round of the 3A playoffs. Schulenburg (24-8) advances to play San Antonio Cole which was a 74-37 winner of Florence Tuesday.

The La Grange softball team went 3-2 last week at the Brenham Tournament, winning their first three before dropping their final two. The Lady Leps started the tournament with a 4-2 victory Thursday over Danbury in which Darby Fitzpatrick was the winning pitcher.

The La Grange boys basketball team saw their hopes of making the playoff shrink with Tuesday’s 70-35 loss at Giddings.
Kayton Powell scored a team-high 13 points as the Leps fell to 11-18 overall and 1-5 in district. The Leps play at Smithville Friday.
