St. James’ Preschool celebrated “Artist Day” on Friday as part of their preparation for the upcoming Preschool Picassos fundraiser. The children dressed as artists, and some made appearances as famous artists like Vincent Van Gogh, Andy Warhol, and Frida Kahlo.

For the past 16 years, the American Medical Society and the Breakfast Lions Club of La Grange have donated bike helmets for first graders at Hermes and Sacred Heart schools.

It’s been a good spring for lovebugs and car washes in Fayette County. The amorous critters have been darkening hoods and windshields here for two weeks now. Even after a pair of morning cool snaps last week, they just keep returning.
