Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that on Monday April 3, 2017, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Canine Unit, Sgt. Randy Thumann and his canine partner Lobos, stopped a Chevy Impala on Interstate 10 at the 658 mile-marker at approximately 1:40 pm for a traffic violation.

Round Top-Carmine ISD Superintendent Brandon Schovajsa released an architect’s rendering of the planned addition to the high school campus in Carmine. Schovajsa said construction will begin on July 17. Voters approved a $2.385 million bond last year to expand the high school.
