Abandoned and boardedup mobile homes have been sitting along Brown Street for six months now following the Hurricane Harvey flood. At the La Grange City Council meeting on Monday, Feb. 26, Councilman Ken Taylor asked why those homes are still sitting there.

La Grange Police arrested a seventh grade student at La Grange Middle School Wednesday, Feb. 21, following a threat on social media. La Grange Police Chief David Gilbreath said the student threatened to bring a gun to school and shoot students and staff.

The Schulenburg High School campus was on alert Thursday morning, Feb. 22, after someone posted a threat to “SHS” on social media. Schulenburg Police Chief Troy Brenek said the post was directed at Springfield High School in Ohio.
