Bernard Jacob Michalsky, 84, of Ellinger, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018. Bernard was born in Fayetteville, on July 25, 1934, the son of Pete and Frances (Krenek) Michalsky. He married Jeanette Matura on Oct. 25, 1958 in Houston. Bernard served in the U.S. Army.

Amanda Caitlin (Zoch) Knox, 32, of La Grange, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Monday, Dec. 17, 2018. Amanda was born in Austin on Feb. 7, 1986, the daughter of Ron and Cyndy (Knue) Zoch.

Fred Seymour, 80, a longtime resident of Fayetteville, passed away peacefully on Friday, Dec. 14, 2018 at his home in Fayetteville. Fred was born in Krebs, West Virginia on Nov. 25, 1938, the son of James and Elizabeth (Darling) Seymour. On Aug. 6, 1965, he married Carol Seymour of Houston.

Lorena (Crenek) Canik, 100, of Fayetteville, died Sunday, Dec. 16, 2018. Lorena was born in Nada, Texas on Sept. 19, 1918, the daughter of Edward and Adela (Warschak) Crenek. She married Rudolph Canik on Oct. 4, 1938 in Frelsburg.

Adella Hollas passed away on Thursday, Dec. 2, 2018. Adella was born on Dec. 18, 1936 in Engle to Charlies and Ludmilla Schwenke. On June 27, 1955 she married Kenneth Hollas in Praha and they were blessed with four children.

Jimmie Lynn McCoy Fricke passed away on Dec. 11, 2018. She fought the good fight and now she is in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services for Verna Mayberry, 79, of Ledbetter, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018 at the Bateman Christian Education Center in Giddings with Rev. Michael D. McClain officiating. Burial followed in the St. Matthew Cemetery in Carmine, Texas.

Barbara Jean (Putt) Janssen, 84, of La Grange, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2018. Barbara was born in Schulenburg on April 26, 1934 the daughter of Wesley Jack and Hilda (Hofbauer) Putt. She married Herb T. Janssen on March 6, 1970 in Houston.
